Our remote Alaskan community is situated within the Tongass National Forest. We are just minutes from the river, hiking trails, the grocery store, court house, and SEARHC clinic, making us the perfect place for both work and relaxation.

We offer nightly rentals in our beautiful Tree-Top Suite, with complimentary access to kayaks and a community fire pit for guests to enjoy during their stay.
While we currently have one suite available, additional
accommodations are already under construction and will be ready in the near future. Our goal is to provide the same comfortable, relaxing, and well-appointed experience across all of our upcoming units.

Klawock is home to some of the best hiking in Alaska as well as fishing, marine life watching, kayaking, and more. Our area restaurants offer delicious food, fresh ingredients, and beautiful views.

Things to Do
Klawock and Prince of Wales Island are set within the Tongass National Forest, meaning there is plenty of access to local outdoor attractions and activities. Visitors can fish in one of the many rivers and lakes, hike popular trails with amazing views, or enjoy water activities such as kayaking and canoeing. They can also try their luck at the Klawock Casino or wander through the Klawock Totem Park, the largest one of its kind in Alaska.

Our remote wilderness community features medical and EMS services, a public library, a grocery store and gas station, and access to area attractions and restaurants. It also has a deepwater port for cruise ship docking and contains the only airstrip on the island.
As the central western point of Prince of Wales Island, Klawock is a convenient and beautiful place to stay along the western shore.

Is the property ADA accessible?
Unfortunately, no. Our Tree-Top Suite is only accessible via a 21-step staircase that leads from the parking area to the suite's front door.
What guest essentials does your property provide?
Our Tree-Top Suite is fully furnished with comfortable seating and sleeping areas. It also has basic cooking essentials and appliances, a coffee maker, bathroom and bed linens, a television, Wi-Fi, and incredible views of the water just outside your door. Complimentary kayaks are also provided for your enjoyment.
How do I get to Klawock?
Flying is the easiest way to reach us, and airlines such as Island Air Express and Alaska Seaplanes offer flights directly into Klawock from Ketchikan, Juneau, and Sitka. Cruise liners dock at our deepwater port, providing access by sea, and car ferries can be taken from Ketchikan to Klawock.
Is Klawock a remote location?
Yes, Klawock is considered a very remote community. However, due to its status as the "crossroads" of Prince of Wales Island, it has services that include medical care, a public library, a grocery store, a gas station, and the only airport on the island.
